{"id":3306,"date":"2023-01-12T15:55:06","date_gmt":"2023-01-12T14:55:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/?p=3306"},"modified":"2023-05-13T21:59:24","modified_gmt":"2023-05-13T19:59:24","slug":"much-enthusiasm","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/en\/uncategorized\/much-enthusiasm\/","title":{"rendered":"We Are Very Excited!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Yes, excited!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Excitement is what we send you from Jerusalem for the year of grace 2023,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dear colleagues, collaborators and friends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The construction of our biblical studies cathedral continues to progress, and the month of greetings is an excellent opportunity to give you an update on the first semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Jerusalem, at the heart of the \u00c9cole Biblique :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The assistants are at their workstations, making progress in the revision of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/traduire-la-bible-a-28-ans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">translation<\/a> and in the enrichment of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/avec-sr-marie-reine-fournier-des-fleurs-plein-la-bible\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">annotation<\/a>s. The weekly<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/regain-dinteret-pour-la-bible-latine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> latin bible<\/a>  translation seminar has benefited from the insights of prof. <strong>Kevin Zilverberg<\/strong>, who was teaching and researching at the \u00c9cole in the first semester.<\/li><li>The editorial committee meets every Friday. We received from prof. <strong>Marc Girard<\/strong> a progress report on his work on the <strong>Psalter<\/strong>: his impressive book 1, at the end of a sustained editorial collaboration with Bieke Mahieu, the general assistant of the Program, is being edited by Peeters.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/le-comite-editorial-le-3-juin-2022-6-e1654764033632.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2599\"\/><figcaption>The editorial committee sends you its best wishes!<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Thanks to the tireless work of fr. Marc Leroy, our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leslibraires.fr\/livre\/21956298-conversations-sur-paul-supportez-vous-les-uns--olivier-thomas-venard-domuni\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">book on <strong>Paul<\/strong><\/a> will finally see the light of day during this month of January (see the &#8220;Books&#8221; section of our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blog<\/a>). Finally, to meet the expectations of friends who want to know our work, we are experimenting with a series of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/les-pepites-de-la-bible-en-ses-traditions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lectures<\/a>, the &#8220;<em>P\u00e9pites<\/em> from the Bible in its Traditions&#8221;.<\/li><li>For a change, we present recent or ongoing activities of some members of the editorial board: fr <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/frere-lukasz-popko-entre-best-et-bhq\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">\u0141ukasz<\/a>, fr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/actualites\/bureau-jerusalem\/frere-olivier-catel-doctorant-en-talmud-a-luniversite-hebraique\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Olivier<\/a>, fr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/art-et-spiritualite-activites-paralleles-des-membres-de-notre-comite-editorial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Olivier-Thomas<\/a>, as well as a vision of our program by fr. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/non-classifiee\/fr-jorge-vargas-corvacho-prends-lis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Jorge<\/a>.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In other news, friends participated in international research:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>\u00c0 Ha\u00effa, <strong>Gad Barn\u00e9a<\/strong>, one of the developers of our program, now a doctor of the university, convened in mid-December an important symposium on <a href=\"http:\/\/bibletraditions.org\/actualites\/bureau-jerusalem\/haifa-le-yahwisme-sous-lempire-achemenide\">Yahwism in the Achaemenid Empire<\/a>. <\/li><li>Several of you have published <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/actualites\/nos-amis-et-collaborateurs-publient\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">works<\/a> related (more or less) to The Bible in its Traditions.\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"533\" height=\"640\" src=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img-0306.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-3274\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img-0306.png 533w, https:\/\/www.bibletraditions.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/img-0306-480x576.png 480w\" sizes=\"(min-width: 0px) and (max-width: 480px) 480px, (min-width: 481px) 533px, 100vw\" \/><figcaption>Fr. Thanks to <strong>Pierre Hennequart<\/strong>, our multimedia library has been enriched with new tools that make it easier to manage the thousands of records it now contains.
