8 November 2021

From the oratorio Syllables divines, created four years ago, to the integration of the painted work of François-Xavier de Boissoudy, two years ago, The Bible in its Traditions seeks to multiply its links with artists who deploy the fruitfulness of the Scriptures, in their traditions, into the culture of our time.

From biblical studies to contemporary visual art and back on the riviera

That time again, the École Biblique et Archéologique was present at a contemporary art exhibition.

Having benefited from an artist residency at the Biennale d’Art Contemporain Sacré de Menton at the beginning of his sabbatical year, Friar Olivier-Thomas Venard, one of the leaders of our research programme “The Bible in its Traditions”, was invited to participate in the October Biennale. Among the two hundred or so works presented, he exhibited a triptych: Rosarium; 3.5 and 4.1.
