The editorial committee, made up of our general assistant Dr Bieke Mahieu, Ffr. O.-Th. Venard, Jorge Vargas, Augustin Tavardon, under the direction of fr. Łukasz Popko and the efficient secretariat of fr. Marc Leroy, continues to work for about an hour and a half every Friday, to proofread, correct and enrich our forthcoming works printed by Peeters.

  • We are preparing Commencements. Définitions, suivies de douze études (la Bible en ses traditions 1): this is a complete and detailed revision of the “demonstration volume” printed pro manuscripto by Peeters in 2010, which will constitute volume 1 of our collection. Our friends Paul and Luc Peeters had it all planned, giving numbers 2 and 3 to the volumes published in 2017 and 2018.
  • We are patiently revising the more than 3,000 notes composed by nearly 60 contributors over the last twelve years around the last three chapters of the Gospel according to Saint Matthew. In 2020, Les éditions Peeters will publish our complete Passion according to Saint Matthew (Mt 26-28) (La Bible en ses Traditions 4), in three large volumes.

Please tell your institution’s librarians about the books in our collection!

Of particular note are several notes on archaeology by Wulfran Bathélémy and Theo Truschel, and the ongoing iconographic enrichment of the topographical notes prepared three years ago by Dr Maureen Attali, translated by Olivier Robert and Patrick Clerget, illustrated by the latter with the help of Br. Jean-Michel de Tarragon, who is in charge of the École Biblique photo library…
