On August the 7th,
Rev. Dr. Eugen Pentiuc
ThD, PhD, Professor of Old Testament and Hebrew, Team leader for Hosea in our Research Project, has been appointed as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs for both Hellenic College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.
As Associate Dean, Fr. Pentiuc will report to the academic deans of each school and be responsible for coordinating academic assessment, course offerings, and student advisement for the whole institution.
The creation of this new position, and Fr. Pentiuc’s expanded role, are major steps for this unique Scholé. His appointment will ensure that HCHC has the ability to meet the ever evolving and increasingly complex demands of higher education.
The Bible in Its Traditions Research Project offers congratulations and many good wishes to Dr. Pentiuc in this new mission. May this influential position help fostering the participation of many new Orthodox scholars to our endeavor!
